Millions of Gleeks waited for the Season 2 premiere of the top-rated musical show, Glee. More so Filipinos around the globe were just as excited to see Charice. It premiered yesterday, September 22 at 4PM and 9PM in ETC (Philippines).
Moments after the eposide was aired, a lot of reactions have been posted in twitter, facebook and blogs. I myself found my facebook news feed flooded with posts from my friends – and this got me curious in watching it. I was curious on how Charice will perform. There’s no doubt about her vocal prowess – she’s very famous for that. What I’m looking after is how she’d portray her character as Sunshine Corazon, a foreign exchange student from the Philippines.
After watching it, I can say she did a good job. Her character will still blossom for it will fire up a rivalry with Rachel, played by Lea Michelle in the coming episodes. Aside from that, I’ve been always impressed with Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester. She always has a surprise to offer whenever she portrays the God-Damn-Good Sue.
Side Note: SM Mall of Asia (Pasay City, Philippines) held a free cinema screening of Glee in Center Stage. This just proves that Glee is now capturing the hearts of the Filipino masses especially with Charice in it.
